can boars regen health with out a deer

i was hunting a boar whit my bow and i shot him 2 times 98 dam and he runs away so i run after him trying to kill him and he regens out of no where 67 health and my sprint was down so he pretty mutch 3 attacks me and im dead that was so anoying because ive sment so mutch time in him is this a bug . my english isnt verry good sorry

i have ender and i zoomed all the way out is it possible for it to regen him from that far ?

well it's know that deers heal and that it's intended ... there are enough places to read about -i.e.

Deer fight solo, but can be found in herds. They have the ability to heal other animals and themselves for 40+(6*{DeerLevel})

You have a visible range and maybe deer where just outside of it?

wow that boar is so lucky i would have destroyed him and the bad thing is that it was on the other side of the river i cant get to the items i had i had allot of good stuff on me and my boat is on the other side to
