Java taking up 50% of my computer power

Seems either my computer is really old (which it is) or some files are corrupted. When i play with the normal client it takes up 50% of my computer power when i use enders the entire client freezes after login and i cant do anything. Atm i have a 3 second delay on any action i take in the game with normal client and its more or less unplayable. Now the question is if there is a way to fix either the normal client or make ender work properly.

what you probably need is updating your graphic driver. (go to your driver manufacturer's site and update it for free.)
in general, you need to give more info on your pc spec and such if you need more detailed info or solutions.

haven clients use 100% of my cpu, regardless of if I have 1 client running or 6
about 0.5gb of ram too
The client is coded poorly, so it's normal.

was around 70-90% for me, after cpu and ram upgrade it is 20-25% now

@OP about 50% CPUload with Java (default/Ender) is "normal" on a decend dual core CPU - (mine is AMD APU 2x3Ghz with integrated Radeon 2100 - XP 32Bit, 3,5 GB Ram - which is somewhat low but i'm able to run 4 Ender clients the same time on it with 60 -70% load)

Tonky already gave a hint about Enderfreezing - your graphics hardware (Intel integrated?!?)

I guess you need to give more informations about your PC Hardware, OS etc. to enable us to give you hints ...

And you prolly went from 32 Bit Os (3GB Ram) to 64 Bit Os (8GB Ram) i guess
