FPS problem

Postby Pal » Wed Jun 16, 2010 6:44 pm

Played with any problems for a long time.

Today after server restart:

no picture behind character portrait
game do not load after choosing character
FPS showed 12-13, before when I'm played it was 30-40, maybe higher, sometimes less in crops.

Then I replace pacho client. It works now, but have terrible FPS. And still no yellow or brown picture behind portrait:

It seems I did not with PC, and I don't know what's wrong.

Processor shows maximum 50% for java process. Using 32 bit client. XP SP2.

What can be wrong? All other games/programms is fine as before.

right now is the peak time of people playing so the server is feeling the strain, and so is everyone playing.

i am getting 3frames per second right now because of the load on the server and in turn me, while i normally have 40.

a lot of people experience it, and unless you still have the same problem 8hours from now its going to be assumed you are experiencing the same thing.

also pacho has a memory leak so restart the cleint every 3-4hours orso.

Sorry, but it's bullshit. Please, don't post trash in this topic, I'm trying to find what's wrong. If you don't know, speed of connection with server and FPS of client is absolutely different things.

He's right FPS and server lag have little to do with each other usually.

Which client are you using? Standard or pachos? If pacho's what res.

Since you're using windoze, when was the last time you did a virus scan?

If you don't have an AV subscription try ClamAV which is a free and open source virus scan engine with free and consistent definition updates.

Also, update your video drivers.

Pacho's, yes. Resolution do not helps. Problem of course is not with drivers, it worked fine for a 6-7 weeks. Virus? All other programms working fine, but maybe. A little chance, but I will try this variant too.

I asked what res. I'm still asking what res.

Problem of coruse, MAY be with drivers. Update them for shits giggles and more help if you want it. If you don't this everyone on these forums will shrug you off the way you did kralmir. Because HE DON'T KNOW WHAT HE TALKING ABOUT AND WE DO.

I don't give a fuck how long it worked. if it doesn't work now something changed and you might be more forthcoming about other things on your system, regardless how unrelated it may seem, that you have recently changed (new games or other programs installed, recently update windows, etc.)

ClamAV is nice on servers.

To secure windows boxes use products like HD-Guard or reimage it with a trusted imange on boot using FOG.
Also don't forget to delete MS Internet products and turn on your brain.

More caps lock and "fuck", mr. genius-with-many-posts. Keep thinking about res ) For me it's not much difference between you and kralmir, sorry.

Found and fixed the problem already, but thanks for answers anyway. Topic can be closed if needs.
