nothing better then a good swim to cross the country boldly and unaffected by rivers. i hate boating, while i´m out exploring. it keeps you stuck at the shores and for thoroughly exploring or prospecting the country, you have to move over dry land also.

When swimming across, remember to click on the opposite shore. If you lag out during the swim, you won't drown like a moron because you couldn't click where you wanted to go =v

Of course, that doesn't matter if you don't have the constitution to swim without drowning anyways.

as someone sad before, there is no point in purchasing drowning skill...eeee...that mean swiming [;
We Can kill boars, bears with weapon, and steping in deep water means death
I have much respect for the devs, and I love the game, but this is kinda stupid ;/

There is nothing wrong with buying swimming. Just have a shitload of con, learn to keep it turned off, don't swim without full stamina, or otherwise be stupid. Invest in a Silver for the Ferryman ring if you're so eager to try swimming, just to discover your limits. To be honest, though, I wouldn't even buy it at 100 con.

My sincere condolences, though, OP. I don't pity people that completely ignore the constant "DON'T BUY SWIMMING" warnings, or otherwise drown for their stupidity, but it's seriously unfair to lose your character due to a server crash, or a few failed packets. Hope you had a good swim, at least.

No... JUST NO. Get over it, stop whining, reincarnate your character, get better!

You learn from trial and error, you just learned that swimming is basically suicide and that you shouldn't even try it without at least 100 Constitution or something. There is 0% chance that the devs will bring your character back to life.

Well from what is read, one can have 9001 constitution and still die from a tile swim if the server crashes which shouldn't be right. Your comment does not help any matter at all.

Not so. I can personally testify that, with 1000 constitution, you can swim pretty much indefinitely. :)
