The thing is, it shouldn't be possible. How can you lock you lockbox while its in the lockbox?

Don't be silly, of course you can.

Any strongbox worth it's salt automatically locks when closed!

Self Locking Locks, they exist.

Ask yourself how many people have locked theirselves out of their houses with their keys still inside. That is your answer.

whatever, i guess the stuff inside is lost forever, it's all easy to replace.

Happened in our village once - we destroyed the mansion with a ram, the strongbox survived, then we destroyed it with the same ram and got all the stuff back ;)
