can confirm that this is happening as i just had a vissit by a guy with a bear that ruined my hole camp and killed one of my fellow hearthlings

Bears won't flee if you keep on chipping away at it's health with small attacks. If you do a large chunk of damage at once, they will run. 'tis the running away that triggers this bug.
