OK I'm strongly suspecting carrot may be affected because I am getting very frequent q1s, sometimes 6 of them in a row and some of the carrot Q I placed before was around q17. None of my carrots that was harvested become above q7. Going to do an experiment and plant a small field of q6-7 and see what happens.

I have Farming 37 and soil q38. With seeds Q 25-30 from WWW, I have q15 (maximun) and a lot of seeds q 1-10 from seeds Q 10-20. What's happen? Maybe the sofcapping formula is now square root of (farming*perception) or anything else? Or the softcapping formula apply only when I plant seeds, instead when harvesting? Or the beehives affect now the quality of seeds...?

(Sorry for my bad english :D).

In World 3, in my experience, it didn't matter what the Q of the seeds right out of the WWW was, the first crop would always be of low Q (1-10).

OK after planting 4 q7 carrot seeds and 3 q6 carrot seeds, I harvest them and this is my results:

3 q8
2 q7
2 q6
3 q5
1 q4
2 q3
8 Q1

Just a note that this is seriously hampering animal feeding and has become a trickle down effect.
Since fields are the main food source for animals - the quality can't improve much for
chickens
cows
pigs
sheep
when I can't pull a seed higher lvl than I can harvest a blueberry :S
Fairly a downer too to increase your farming and it have no effect.
Earlier I got a lvl nothing straw and the ones still continue after even after multiple harvests.

Probably something halves the quality of harvested crops because I got straw and plant fibres without q from q1 seeds too...

That seems reasonable. But what something? May be the Q of plow, the lack of scythe, the Q of beehives... Or maybe the probability to raise the crops is only a 10% or so. The devs only have said "crop q is now soft capped by local soil q", but it does not seem that the farming proccess works this way. They have changed more things.

take those q1 seed, use the to grass you cow pens, let them eat q10 grass

heck, it might even be the same q as the soil, so let the cows eat q30 grass.

as for chickens, shit outta luck.

Suggestion: Make a lot of q0 fibres, store them for a rainy day.
