Once again, I don't click on random links. Especially not from H&H'ers. Apparently you missed it the first time I said it.

That's not really a big issue. Why make the dev's waste their time on pointless things? Plus, the numerous similar bug threads help to keep H&H a more active forum & game. By lessening social interaction, you'll only lessen the player-count that H&H will get.

Have you never run a site or forum community before? I have seen communities that have did similar to this(this being only what I have to go on based on what you said in the post as I don't click random links from H&H'ers.) before that ultimately killed the activity of the players by like. 40%. Sometimes more.

I see a benefit to the DEVELOPERS. But the overall community would suffer.

A real easy quick solution would be for the person that first ENTERS the bug forum to be force-linked to a thread that lists all the bugs that have been mentioned before in a very clear and organized fashion. Same with the C&I forum. This has did wonders in past communities I have run, and should feasibly work fairly well here. Of course, i'll go post all of this in the C&I thread at some point as this would be going a bit off-topic as to the original post.

well, if you wanted to be as backwards as possible. and we've all seen how well those threads work in the past, right guys??

if we are going to be sharing anecdotes i have personally seen this work for other games quite well in the past, as those lazy testers mentioned previously that are unwilling to follow rules are also unwilling to even sign up in the first place ymmv

You are missing the basic principle here. You think the community will suffer because of a change in the way bugs are reported? Really? It's not drama that fuels the society here, it's the strange glitches and broken clients?

Here, let me Google that for you: http://www.google.com/search?q=mantisbt
I hope you trust Google. Otherwise fuck you. I'd use LMGTFY.com but you'd probably be scared of that, too. Mantis is reputable.

You so regularly fail to respond in a useful way that you are not.

The whole concept hinges on the assumption that the devs as well as the playerbase would actually use such a tracker.

As it stands now, people can't even be bothered to search the forums before posting about a bug. What makes you think they'd search the bug tracker before reporting one?

For the record, I'm completely for a more organized and official tracker, but as it stands with how lazily the devs seem to address issues and how disorganized the general playing community is, I just don't see it working very well.

Hell the wiki still contains tons of outdated and incorrect information, and that's run by some of the most enthusiastic players.
