also, it should say you need a stone.

Nope. not fixed yet.

You can have both message's. What message you get seems to depends on what ground you tried to lay the stone(you don't have) on.

Like for example:
on plowed -> need gold.
on stone/pavement -> need stone.
(or was it the other way around ... )

So, I'm paving away. I run out of stone, and it says, "You need a Gold Nugget to do that."

Just a light string error that should probably be fixed!

also a string error for laying gold when you have no gold it tells you that you need a stone
but if you have a stone it says you need a gold nugget

I didn't pave for weeks when I could have easily gone past my old settlement because I thought I needed gold via a mine to pave.
