Nice "Feature": Mine in river

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time..

I've investigated the site, and I can verify that the mine is not in the river, but safely on the northern side of it.

This was quite an unexpected consequence of the prospecting skill, though, so I've taken the trouble to revive the character. Well, tried to, at least -- reviving dead characters isn't really meant to be, so there may be things that have gone wrong in the process. Please tell me whether it worked.

Swimming toggle will be coming. :)

wow, thanks for ressourecting me! it worked, without my key but thats not a great problem. I'm not going to prospect so close to a river again.

So in the end, we have to thank a freak prospecting incident involving a treacherous river and a zombified resurectee for convincing the devs to implement a swimming toggle?

Sounds good to me.

Well that's the second drowning that wasn't the fault of the player. Nice to see this guy got resurrected.

I suggested this already. I want to know what they're going to do about the fact that a lagspike or other connection issue while swimming is certain death for anyone. (It's what killed me).

How is this different from death by lag?
Both scenarios are completely out of the player's control.

It isn't. Not in the sense of player control.

I guess I'm not worthy resurrection though since lag isn't a 'feature'.

Same here.
And I doubt there are many lag-killed pgs.
Should be pretty obvious to discern the 2 death "categories".
Pg with 10 con killed by river? He deserved it.
Pg with 50 con and full stamina? Obvious death by lag.

But obviously I don't know how the resurrection process works. Or how much J&L value their players' time.
