Well i cut the trees arround about two or more real weeks ago. I think for that time they already must grow.

Well, it seems you have planted the trees on grassland - that always slows them down a lot (!). I do remember when I first planted some trees on grassland I was surprised just how long it took them to grow up.
I'm also seeing some oaks, which take ridiculously long when not on broadleaf forest ground. Pines take longer than firs. Etc.

Have you ever written down the time for the different trees growing up on different ground types? I haven't, so I can't tell you exactly if they "must grow" in two weeks or not. Maybe someone will find this thread who has done this (if someone has), but until then you should assume this is normal - if a bug like this existed, it is unlikely you are the first person to see it.

Really, just wait more and leave them alone/don't walk around them a lot. Sorry that I can't tell you anything else :/

If it's been 2 weeks, they're stunted. You can chop the ones past stage 1, but the ones on first stage will not grow and will be there forever.

So do they stop "trying" to grow after a while? Because I've accidentally planted 2 trees right next to each other before and one of them still grew past stage 1 eventually, and I see nothing in his screenshot that would stunt them at stage 1 forever (and all trees on that shot are stage 1).

Yep, that's the idea.

Stage 1 tree's(saplings) don't have a hitbox. So they don't have any blocking effect on other tree's ... yet. But a stage 2 tree has, and will immediately block the growth of other tree's/saplings that are to close so it.

Thanks - I knew about the second part, but not the first part. So I thought they'd grow past stage 1 eventually, no matter when you remove an obstacle. :/

So for the OP - is this actually considered a bug or basically "tree user error" when a tree gets permanently stuck in stage 1 and you have no way to remove it?

user error
if you want them to grow, you'll have to bash down that wall, and one of them will grow. then you can chop it, and some more will grow ect.

Good sir, we were already past that. Did you even read the entire thread?
As DDDs and mvgulik have kindly explained, nothing will make those trees grow up, not removing the wall or anything.

One thing worth mentioning, don't have the hide function on when planting trees. Planting two trees in the same spot is pretty lulzy
