I have noticed that it has been an unusually log time since we've had any calves too
using the same method of trapping the cows in gates.
Maybe Jorb has ninja'd a fix that bulls won't mate with any cows in a gate?

I think it has been... I freed one of the cows from the gate, within 5 minutes... MOO!

But the other 2 were still in gates when it happened.

They need to be only part way into the gate, otherwise its difficult for the bull.

your cows are almost engulfed by the fence, this is what you want it to look like, also make sure you have no cows outside of the breeding area, otherwise the bull will bug and not mate with the cows in it's pen.
