Oh wow, I just made this mistake again and put my 8 birchbark that I painstakingly collected after i waited for my new birch grove to mature, in my inventory after everything else!

Worst part is now I have absolutely nothing to use this normal bark on, as it's too low quality for my tanning tubs now and there isn't crap for things to do with bark. Oh I can make some bark bread I guess, don't need the CON too much at the moment but it's something atleast.

It's been mentioned before, around the start of world 5. I believe it's intentional.
Any crafting that asks for generic bark can use brown or white.
Any crafting that asks for generic leather can use regular or hard.
Any crafting that asks for a generic bough can use fir boughs or elm boughs.

You can no longer use hardened leather to make hardener leather.
