I have cleared java cache and redownloaded official client. Still getting "Connection reset" errors.

Try launching the official client directly from your browser. It looks a bit strange, but it worked for me. Still I have no idea of a possible explanation of this phenomena.

I would think bugs falls under 'execution'. Don't think H&H is near ready for competition but will probably be some serious business next year.
