Region maps not loading

Just bumping this thread because yesterday my previously full local maps (which I look at every time I log in) had some holes in them, and today they aren't loading at all. Did you delete more maps? Is cartography just a waste of time?

(to be honest, if that's what's causing all the lag is the loading of the maps, I can live without them, I just want to know what the rules are - I'd like to have a few that function!)

Well, if the server's under heavy bandwidth load, map tiles could be missing simply due to connection issues. I did try to run another garbage collection the other day, though; but this time I only purged maps that noone had looked at for 28 days.

Are you only deleting the terrain maps that load in the interface or does deleting those also delete the ones people have "saved" on parchment with the cartography tool?

'cause deleting the parchment ones all the time, even every 28 days, basically renders cartography utterly useless even for those who do still insist on using it.

At least try buying another hard-drive or something.

Does this Russian client have an English interface or is it all in Russian, I'm beginning to grow tired of not having any maps to use to lead my tribe members to a location without actually walking there myself.
Also what's this about a keylogger?

I haven't heard anything about a keylogger. You do have to enter your bank account details for security reasons when you fire it up for the first time though.

And for some reason all these weird transactions have started happening on my account too. Buggered if I know why.

They are the same. The parchments only save references to the same images used for the minimaps.

Well, I don't delete "maps that are 28 days old". I only deleted those that noone had looked at for 28 days, which seems at least a bit reasonable.

I'm not sure if the answer was already provided, but does looking at a region map count as looking at all the local maps that make up that region map, in terms of being 'flagged' for the garbage collection process? I'm not clear on whether the image references between the two save them from deletion. In other words, will the local maps be safe if the region map is viewed within 28 days?

Thing is, I have been making sure to look at my local maps every few days. I had two complete maps, and now they have holes in them. I looked at the entire local map every few days, then a few days ago about 7 of the minimaps were missing from my local maps (they are the same ones missing each time) and so I'm a bit confused at how those are disappearing. I can post a screenshot if that will help?
