As for the power cord, you will see that I wrote "power supply", not "power cord". When playing games, both the CPU and the graphics card will go out of power conservation mode, and will thus put a much heavier load on the power supply, which may lead to it being unable to supply the computer if it's broken or under-dimensioned.
ok, i'll take the beast apart and clean her up and see how the other fans look.
