No one person should be fully served. Buy your string if you decide to not take up farming and go industry instead (which you should only be doing if you have a mine or if you like gray clay THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT much).

This isn't a problem with ease of obtaining, it's a problem with someone setting up their 'build' in a certain way that restricts them from obtaining the thing they want.

It'd be a real pain in the ass if this was possible, it's nice to use hide straps for slings, but fishing lines seems silly.

Seems less silly than taproot to me. I really don't see what's the big problem with allowing all string to be usable for fishing. If it were realistic, I think silk is the only current line that would actually work.

Then let it be silk only.

It's not like any of this matters considering fishing will eventually be changed (most likely a lot) and these sorts of things will probably be dealt with then.


It's not like you couldn't get by pre-hide straps, I sure as hell did it, and without fibres.
