Crop quality keeps dropping despite high farm level.

And Jorb hasn't drawn the snow yet.

Kaka makes this song into H&H style.

Softcap at Q0 seems to be the case.

It doesn't even seem like this soil softcap is working properly, and even worse I've had to rethink the way I am supposed to build and structure my village.

No one wants a farm in the middle of their village, nor on the edge where they can easily be shot outside the walls, but sometimes you don't have a choice if you're unlucky on the location of the node you find.

Farming outposts might be cool for those of you that enjoy taking a CR back and forth dropping off a bunch of shit and wasting more time than you have to, but it just seems like one giant hassle to me.

Oh and of course you have to have a big enough space walled around the node just so no one can lower the quality by digging outside.

Oh mighty loftar, please check whether ploughed ground has a quality.

I think that's the issue. Edit: Since you can't dig a ploughed tile, I'm assuming it is because it has no quality, just like mountain tiles etc.

Bunk.

How would farming be affected by soil q if ploughed land has no q?

Because returning a null pointer when you are expecting an int will cause a big ol' bunch of problems, so if something has no quality, instead of returning null, it's most likely returning 0.

Well obviously there's a problem with the new formula somewhere because this is just getting ridiculous. It'd sure be nice if someone actually addressed the issue seeing as how long crops take to mature. What a waste.

Why you say 'somewhere' and 'ridiculous'? Have you got increase quality of your seeds after, for example, 3 generations?

Actually I do have a Q gain on carrots after the... 4th or 5th harvest.
But it still is incredibly slow and I still have unexpected many Q1 carrots.

Seems to me, like every seed has to drop to 1 before it stars rising...
