Crop quality keeps dropping despite high farm level.

I'm getting the same problem that's being reported, and the soil reading as quality zero for plowed land seems like a reasonable conjecture. Assuming this is the problem is this a thing that's easy to change on Jorbtar's front? If not, would it be difficult to go back to the W3 system? The quality of the crops by the end of the game were a bit silly sure, but it's a lot MORE silly for crops to be permanently stuck at q1.

Alright. If there is still no answer from authorities about that kind of seriouse bug.. this is probably aiin't a bug at all. We just can't find out what is soft-cappin/hard-cappin our crops. Simple as that.

But it still is incredibly slow and I still have unexpected many Q1 carrots.

Seems to me, like every seed has to drop to 1 before it stars rising...

That's not proof of it "working" - per generation there is a small deviation from starting crop quality (I estimate maximum gain of 5 QL), then softcapped by soil quality as of World 4 mechanics. If soil quality is 0, the maximum QL of crop one can achieve is 5 or 6. (6+5 = 11, +0 = 11, /2 = 5.5 (round up?)). If soil quality is 1 (which may be possible) then a VERY slow gain is possible by a rate of up to 1-3 QL per generation, max of 6-7 QL.

See the following:
For QL 1:
Start QL 10.
+5 = 15, +1 = 16, /2 = 8.
8+5 = 13, +1 = 14, /2 = 7.
7+5 = 12, +1 = 13, /2 = 6.5 (round up to 7 or down to 6). 6+5 =11, +1 = 12, /2 = 6.

For QL 0:
Start QL 10, +5 = 15, /2 = 7.5 (assume round up).
8 + 5 = 13, /2 = 6.5 (round up).
7 + 5 = 12, /2 = 6.
6 + 5 = 11, /2 = 5.5 (round up), stays at 6.

So, indeed, the soil softcap not only hardcaps where one can reach at all times, but this softcap of 0 is just broken, and no gain will show otherwise.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.

Either this was fixed silently, or it's working off of some weird parabolic function where <q10 spirals out of control, because once I got over that hurdle it seems to be working fine.

So you put in >q10 crop, you farmed on good soil good farming skill etc, and now are achieving >q10 results?

I hope with actual gains, not just stagnation. I'm planting a few WWW-created crops now.
