Emerald, you seem to be offended by my previous post. I had no intention to offend you, that's just what I think about this situation.
Having even 1 quality higher well by shifting the building spot makes that node compromised. Even if you would not ever use that water for trading. Even if it's one q higher than usual. It was a case of using non-intended mechanics to edit game variables players are not allowed to edit.
I know you for pretty long time as a smart and pragmatic person, so I am really wondering, are you so sure that one villager (xcom) won't give other villager (jewmones) a little bit of that sweet water for free to sell it directly/using it in crafting?
And you can be calm about ramones, calling trading person a jew is not insulting. :)


I wasn't offended, I didn't see your post as offensive in the lease, just misunderstood your intent and wanting to understand the perspective of how it was game breaking. As I said, we realised it was a bug, and we knew that it would be removed, and as much as it sucks, since it is our best node and was used for this project, what is done is done, and we aren't going to whine about it! it's a game afterall.

And yes ramones uses the water, although he's inactive at the moment, as do others in EC, and everyone else who is involved in the project thus far, they use the water to produce better q items, and then sell on and trade. that was the purpose.

I prefer to protect and argue for my villagers unless they shoot themselves entirely in the foot:P and ramones has supported many people, regardless of his prices, he's a good trader, and villager. :)

I want to keep my respect to the devs for making this awesome free-to-play game. They did alot of effort for our joy, but it's really really hard to keep that respect seeing how they abandon this game so often. You've got a community all counting on you Jorb and Loftar, least you can do is show some respect back to us, like answering martenx's bug reports, or explaining why you nuked these wells. Explaining stuff can do alot for people to understand each other, to regain my full respect.
Please. Don't let us down.

Well, I'm not. I've played for a LONG fucking time and have helped tremendously at playtesting and bug abusing with wayneville and the goons, I've been thanked several times for bug reports and have worn dev capes 3 of 6 worlds played. I feel like I've contributed enough to this project, and if you go back to early announcements that's exactly what we were led to believe this was, that I feel like some sort of explanation is just common courtesy. Pages of outraged idiots can chime in with their two cents either way, but It took a lot of these core people to make the game what it is today, a pretty successful little 'hobby' that wouldn't have been nearly as successful without our contributions and years spent playing. You think this will stay a hobby forever? You don't clearly see that theyre trying to parlay this into careers that will likely net them notch-level bank accounts? E.g. Salem? The experience we're helping them acquire right now and for the last 6 years will directly impact their success in the gaming industry. They may not owe YOU an explanation, but they sure as fuck owe some of us.

I really hope you're not comparing sitting there playing a game with actually making one. Please tell me you're not that fucking conceited. No, it doesn't matter if you were helping bugtest it or not. No one held a gun to your head and made you play. Keyword here is play.

What I don't get is that some people made like 20+ bug reports and exploit reports over the time and got nothing, while one person who does one gets a cape. I wonder what their point of view is here...

Alright I guess Im learning about this here and now. :roll: I can't say I approve of testing bugs in such a way. Report them yes. But don't use them. The punishment is consistent with what has been done before.
