That is great news. It's nice to see that Shaw cares for their clients. I'll test today if it still disconnects every 10 minutes.

It was a terrible day in Haven, all hope had been lost, even the gods themselves didn't seem to care. The sky was covered with black clouds and the sun had not shined in days. All the crops were dying and the ferocious animals of the wilderness were preying on anyone who dared leave their house in the darkness.


"Save us Loftar", the peasants cried and Loftar looked down at them from his mountain, only to shrug his shoulders, "not my problem" he explained. I can see perfectly fine from the top of my mountain.

The villagers cried out for a savior.

and then... off in the distance, a man was seen walking towards town. He was massive, his arms where thicker than tree trunks. The villagers had never seen a brickbreaker before, but they had heard of them. But this man, he had no aura, he had never died... was this even possible they thought?

Stickman, walked into town, the ground shaking with every step, his stomach growling. "Where is my cheese" he exclaimed.

The village, a massive cheese factory had been selling cheese all this time, but never knew who was eating it.

"We can’t make any" they explained, the sun no longer shines on this village.

Stickman was furious. He was hungry, and nothing short of 10 chests of cheese was going to satisfy his stomach.

Stickman grabbed his pick and with all his strength, he threw it at the top of the mountain. It was thrown with such force, the mountain peak shatttered on impact leaving only a hill.

"how dare you", exclaimed loftar, "you will not get away with this".

but stickman simply laughed and started his treck back home. “you are as blind as the rest of us now” he muttered.

Loftar was furious. He grabbed his nerf stick and tried to take aim, but the sky was so dark he could no longer see, he was no longer above the clouds. Curse you! screamed Loftar, as he frantically tried to dispel the clouds. But by the time the sun shined through Stickman was already gone.

I don't know how you coded the timeout for the clients, but in case there are to many packets lost it could well trigger the client to think that the server is dead (or the other way around).

Right now, they actually only send unacknowledged heartbeat packets when otherwise idle. I should probably redo that so as to acknowledge heartbeats; the clients could then retransmit more intelligently if unacknowledged.

Did stickman's interaction with init7 make any difference? I see that some traffic previously being routed through init7 is rerouted via eurorings.net now instead.

I never gave them my name, but I gave Shaw my name. So it appears that Shaw actually contacted them for me
Hopefully the server will come up so I can get some decent playing in.
