drowning without swimming

I know about the swimming being extremely dangerous, so i advised my girlfriend who just began playing to not buy it.
well, she was foraging and hunting rabbits a bit, and leftclicked at a paved tile, just in the vicinity of a river. at that exact moment, the server had a major lag, like 2 minutes or so. i think it didn't crash, and she kept walking in the same direction, walking over the water etc. she was forced out of the game(logged out). trying to login she saw that her character was dead.
presumably drowned, there was no evidence of other trauma or possiblities.
so, i think this is a somewhat harsh bug.

on a side note, does anyone know what happens if you go past overstuffed?(110%) do you die from a stomach rupture?

You just can't eat anything that would take you past 100% overstuffed

Though you character appears to continue walking forever when there is lag, this is not actually the case. I therefore find the whole drowning situation very improbable.

she did't die beacause of water. Few times I was loging off on a boat, and someone stole it, I loged on water, not swiming in it, but standing on it's surface like jesus christ q; ( I didn't have swimming skill) so if she also did't have swimming someone just had to kill her.

Well, obviously, if you can't swim and you go into water you will drown!
