Bear Attacking from Above Cave? WTF?

I was ranging a bear from behind a cliff, and when I entered the cave in the cliff, the bear somehow kept attacking me from above. It then KOed me.

The KO definetely wasnt from lack of shoes or something (I always wear bunny slippers, and Im never around leeches).

This is a bug for sure.

I have seen it happen with a mine bit never with a cave

You were probably eaten by a grue. The bear had nothing to do with it.

Heh, Haven and Hearth doesn't have grues.

When you enter a cave, a boat, or a house, your targeting box is still left behind the other area. An example is that normally animals cannot attack you while you are on a boat. If you exit the boat and then enter, your targeting box is still outside the box and animals can attack you if you had aggro'ed them (and vice versa).
