Today I destroyed my low authority village idol with plans to immediately replace it with a new one with a new name. However; at the time I also had 3-4 banners out and about different areas of the village (none overlapping) to cover more ground with claim. Whenever I destroyed the idol the red tint that usually shows the presence of a claim on that area disappeared. When I tried to make the new idol I got the message "This land is already under rule" (or something along those lines), not allowing me to create the idol.
Now; through pure stupidity on my part I had a crossroad system leading to different walled off parts of my village, in these parts were the banners. I now cannot access these areas as the sign posts are not "powered" per se. <-- This is totally my fault and somewhat unrelated, however I'm wondering: is it a bug that I cannot create a new village idol despite there being no claim there just because some banners were left over from the old village (in other areas) or am I just underestimating the size of the initial claim brought on by a village idol and that it may overlap those existing old village claims and it is that that is screwing me over?
I just thought that I'd be able to create the new village idol and those banners would then be apart of the new village.
Will I only be able to solve this problem by destroying those banners or is the ground itself bugged when it comes to reclaiming it?
