Java certificate Issues

Postby Infi » Thu Nov 04, 2010 11:31 pm

I just had my Computer fixed and even though I have installed the most recent version of Java, have all my drivers up to date and my System time should be right, everytime I try to start the game i get the error: failed to validate certificate. the application will not be executed.

In the Details it says the following:
Code: Select all
java.io.IOException: Invalid keystore format
   at sun.security.provider.JavaKeyStore.engineLoad(Unknown Source)
   at sun.security.provider.JavaKeyStore$JKS.engineLoad(Unknown Source)

   at com.sun.javaws.Main.continueInSecureThread(Unknown Source)
   at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Unknown Source)
   at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

I tried reinstalling Java multiple times already of which none worked.
When I try to start the game from Gilbertus' client it says that the Java Platform Binary is not working anymore.

I searched the Forums and google but could not find anything to solve the problem yet.

I'm guessing that your Java keystore has become corrupted for some reason, and it's a per-user file, so it isn't fixed by reinstalling Java. Removing the keystore file should help, but I don't know what the file is called on Windows.
