You can now lay stones on existing stones. It gets in the way.

I think this is somewhat intentional, so you can lay bricks over stone and the other way around.

Perhaps, but does it require that much code to prevent you from laying stone on stone? is it Java it's coded in, iirc?

Just add another if variable

Public void StonePaving
if(ground = stone)
{
// do nothing
}

else

{
ground = stone
}



}

only the client is coded in java, the server is c

does it require that much thought/effort to not pave where you already paved?

No but it certainly adds to the polish of the game.
