Bear Follows Like a Leashed Animal

Hello!

Yesterday i was out by boat, saw a bear AND a rock i could chip stone from within the same area, sweet! So i started taking shots at the bear and it ran away! after just a few shots. the battle marker beside its portrait changed from sword to the leaf thingy (whatever its called in english!)
I was confused and got out of the boat. the bears portrait went from a bear face to a question mark as when its out of reach. then it came back towards me, I got back into the boat. It was wierd, sometimes it ran away again and sometimes it stayed. After a few minutes of this circus i killed it. on my way back i saw another bear. same thing, only this bear ran away and didnt come back.

Whats going on!?

usually they would just stand there until i hammered it to death after say 20+ stones.

then you havnt hunted bears long tim, they run away at crit health

So I was fighting this bear and then it fled. But then I physically ran into it and it just chased me around, but didn't attack me. I attacked it and it still didn't try to hit me. It just followed me around. Made it really easy to take out, but thought you should know about this.

I've experienced the exact same thing. The bear followed me around like a leashed animal.

New? I started playing in June and they had been doing this way before I joined.

I'd suggest the Search feature but I know how often that will be used.
