Carpentry skill error!

I am writing according to a plea of my friend. He had registered yeasterday, and every time he picks "Carpentry" skill from the skill menu and clicks 'Buy', the game crashes. After that he can't log in. He had started everything from the beginning for three times, but it doesn't help - the game still crashes when he picks this skill, other skills are working okay. He had used two different computers, both under Win 7. Nicknames of heathlings: SocraDT, ST. Can you please assist?

also what client is he using? maybe the client isn't updated.

He is using official client (by clicking "Play" button). He had tried Pachos client as well.

Looks like the client is unable to load a resource it needs to render something so it dies.
Maybe check if something is clogging up the connection (eg. P2P apps) preventing the load.
Or in case of windows <vista, PPPoE uplink and older router check the MTU on network connection (eg. with Dr.TCP) and lower it to 1492, leaving it at default of 1500 might get certain packets originating from the machine being silently dropped.
