Drying Frame Bug?

So I walk away from my drying frame with a couple furs on it to explore my new area, and when I return ~10 minutes later, my furs are gone. There's a chance it was a thief, but that's highly unlikely with the vastness/newness of the world. Did the contents of the frame get lost when it was unloaded perhaps?
