Can't Build House?

Can't Build House?

I spawned in a PERFECT area, and I got the necessary skills, but for some reason whenever I try to build a house it says "can't build that here". Anyone else have the same problem?
Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end, so thank you for reminding me to sin with a grin; I won't be taking prisoners and I won't be taking shit.

For some reason, though, it won't let me do anything to the forest floor =/

plow first, with hand ora wooden plow. Then lay stone (u need stoneworking for this).

I tried plowing, that's what it wouldn't let me do. It wouldn't let me just lay stone either, so I abandoned it for an area a little bit over.
