Tub finished tanning but still full of water

2 tanning tubs with fox hides in them just finished, and they were still full of water, although there is more than 60L, and I filled it right to 60 before that.

I watched it happen and so did several others. Nobody filled them.

Do they happen to be in a cellar? I know it resets each time you exit. Not sure about indoors but move them outside and it shouldn't be a problem.

It's always been like this. It's how you're supposed to make leather. Start the tanning tub and then put it into a container and then take it out and wait 10 minutes. Once the map gets unloaded the progress resets so of course whenever you log off or go away it won't go anywhere. It's not a bug or an exploit.

First off yes it is a bug, but one that's been left in place because otherwise its a PITA to make leather and Loftar has yet to get around to actually rewriting the leather code to operate like the other time based mechanics like drying racks/herbalist tables. It is not at all surprising that some people do not know about it because it is undocumented and worse completely unintuitive. Any reasonable person would report it as a bug when they first notice it.

What he's saying is, the thing's still got water and bark in it when it's done tanning. Which, it did in World 3 because it only uses some of the water that the thing can carry, but lately it's been possible to get multiple tannings from a single barrel full of water and one piece of tree bark.
