Not able to start

(Vista 32-Bit)
Just having registered and trying to start H&H the first time, on start of autohaven.jnlp Im told that it could not be started. Click on the Details button reveals that the problem was caused by http://www.havenandhearth.com/java/jogl.jnlp not being loaded. Additionally, follwing information was given:

Start file:

Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<!--

This is a Java Web Start file. If you are reading this text,
it most likely means that you have not installed Java, which
you will need to play Haven and Hearth. The easiest way to get
Java is probably to go to http://www.java.com/ and download
   it.

It might also mean that you are just curious, in which case I
bid you to go ahead. 'Tis a good thing.

I don't really know what is going on so you should probably search the forums for a proper answer from someone more informed than myself as this is more than likely a problem that has already been dealt with.

I would first say try to start it again on the off chance that the server we download the actual game files from was crashed.
If that fails again I would have to hazard a guess that perhaps you have a firewall or similar program on your pc or router that is preventing Java applets from downloading additional applets/files because it is a dangerous act, again I'm not an informed source but as I understand it autohaven checks what game files you currently have and then tries to automatically download any updates or files you are missing which as a new player would be all of them before running the game files.

Again I can not stress enough that I have no idea what the problem is but I would recommend looking up how to add H&H as a firewall exception.

I am sorry to hear you have been waiting three or four days for a response, usually someone will either help you or make fun of you for posting a new thread on an old topic and then point in the right direction.

http://www.havenandhearth.com/java/jogl.jnlp is 404, maybe thats the problem? Could someone try and install the game on another partition or such, then we would see if the problem is on my side.

Edit: I already searched through the forum for anything containing "jogl", but the found threads didnt solve my problem.
My firewall(that standard Windows Firewall)s exception-view contained java, not haven/autohaven (didnt ask me if it should add an exception on first start like it does on normally every program) and the add exception feature didnt allow to add .jnlp, so i guess this isnt the problem too.

If this is the error I think it is, I think it's caused by having invalid proxy settings. Java keeps its own set of proxy settings, alterable via Java's control panel. Please check so that they are correct.

Sry that it took that long to respond.

I indeed use a proxy set up by my browser, and didnt mention this to the Java preferences interface, but doing so doesnt help, so that wasnt the problem. :I

http://www.havenandhearth.com/java/jogl.jnlp is also a 404 error for me, but my game runs fine.

I realise this doesn't help too much, but just to help reduce the possible reasons for your problem
