Character Randomly stops fishing

I have a fully equipped and working fishing pole but when I fish for longer than a few minutes my character stops fishing and has to be told to do it again. It didn't used to do this.

Trolling me would be incredibly god damn stupid because I know the rod isn't breaking. I unequiped it, the lure, string and hook were all still there and intact. I put it back together can and watched the screen intently. He amakes about two attempts, getting LP, and then stops. I've been using woodfish lures and they've worked everytime before this.

Are you sure there are fish nearby or that you aren't accidentally clicking the screen?

Oh no sorry I was replying to the person who said I was lucky people weren't trolling me.

But yeah, I watched the screen, fishes everywhere.

And I unplugged my mouse, he still stops.

Nope, I watched. He just randomly stopped. My original thought was "broken hook".

I made a new hook and unequipped my rod but everything was okay. I've fished there before with great success, two whole baskets.

When it stops after the first attempt there are no fish for you to get.

Try a different spot nearby and try out different baits - since the kind of fish you'll get depends on the moon phase it might aswell be that there is currently no fish available for that bait in this moon phase.
