killed because of shitty comp

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time..

killed because of shitty comp

Postby Agasi » Mon Feb 07, 2011 12:28 am

Yup this post is very retarded

Don't know where I should ask this or where something like this is said in the rules...

But my character, Marat Gasatan, just recently died because the game froze or lagged or something. I was being chased by a boar and I probably would have survived if the client didn't freeze up. ...Or I would probably still be alive if my characters stayed unconscious when I logged back in fast enough which I tried to do.

It seems that if the game freezes for some reason while in combat, the character dies even if you exit the game and log in back in quickly.

The same thing happened to Lon Beerroot, a previous character.

I think these details are important for any player to know.

I have experienced zero lag, besides what just happened in the last three seconds.

If the issue is on your end, I don't think they're going to be too sympathetic.

They don't revive anyone, no matter what. Better luck next time.

It seems if the game freezes for some reason and you log back in, the character dies no matter what if you're in combat even if you have enough Hp.

You just probably close your game when a boar run after you ....

The game froze. I could have ran away if the game didn't. I would have waited a while until consciousness returned and then click return to hearth fire.
The boar didn't make me unconscious when the game froze, it had took chips and chips off.
So in this game, you die automatically in combat if you log out? It doesn't bother with letting you survive being unconscious?

No, it keeps you logged in if you log out while in combat. If it didn't it would be dumb, as you could just log out if your getting attacked. What drew you to the conclusion that it auto-killed you?

Cause at 0 HHP or whatever that first bar of hp, a character is unconscious and unable to be attacked further.
When a point of that bar is regained, unconsciousness is returned and the character is able to warp to hearth without the hostile targeting the character again.
If that character stands up again, the hostile would knock the character back unconscious dealing damage to the second HP bar.

I believed I tried to log in fast enough at the point my character would still be unconscious and have some second bar hp.

The amount of lag on the server is absolutely insane.

They should be offering revivals for deaths due to lag at least with PvE encounters because the animals do not lag NEAR as much as the players.

I know this would be tough to calculate, but due to the lag and the fact that the goons and koreans have mined their way to unattainable heights, my crew and I most likely won't be playing this game much longer.

Less lag for yall though ; )

Moral of the story, if the server starts lagging hard, hearth and do stuff at home while you wait out the storm. You wouldn't go hunting during a severe thunderstorm, would you?
