Crashing upon connecting

Postby Jackwolf » Mon Feb 14, 2011 7:33 am

So far my friend has had troubles starting up the game, for seemingly no reason. Myself and another friend operate the game fine, and all three of us downloaded it from the same place (here.) So far he only manages to get to the log in screen, upon logging in it says "Autheticating" then "Connecting" and crashes shortly there after. Only once so far has he managed to get to the actual Log in screen where he can select a character (I made one for him on his account to see if it would help, it didn't.), but as of now we have yet to recreate it under any means. During the past couple times Java has come up with an error, it is as follows;

We're trying out Ender's client right now, and apparently we're both dumb and have no idea what the run.bat is for Java... Otherwise we would edit it to find his game, and hopefully work.

You double click it.
Also, make sure that you have the appropriate version. Here is the download link again:

Simply download, extract the folder to your desktop, open it, and double click run.bat. Alternatively, you could extract it somewhere else, and create a shortcut of run.bat to your desktop and even give it a pretty icon.

Your problem is in all likelyhood the same as this.
