potential planting bug...

I have just started mass planting seeds and for some reason there will be times when i plant seeds right were i right click and others when my character goes to a random plot of plowed land and plants it there. I've skimmed the forums for a while and found nothing. is this a bug or just because of some issue on my end? any help is appreciated.

Seeds get planted in the center of the tile.

Did you zoom in or out while doing so?

Yah i was zoomed out, is that what caused it? i guessed it was something on my end because i haven't seen it mentioned in forums before.
