Boat Glitch

Was boating, It lagged a bit, then suddenly I was simming. I was not allowed to get back into the boat so I tried to make it to land but ended up drowning. I have been able to swim to a boat before, so what happened?

You had swimming on while you were boating around, it lagged, you did Ctrl + Click by mistake or on purpose, who knows. Then you were dead after the lag had ended, and added some other bits of information to make it sound like a bug.

I'm fairly positive boat entering is really buggy when your in water, and someone is sitting in the boat.

I tested countless times but came to no conclusion, as no one else really did test... how could I be sure it was not just lag.
