Stranger on my kin list

I just logged on to my alt who has never had a hearth secret to discover that she has someone I have never heard of on her kin list.
This has me really puzzled to how it happened.

most likely if the name of the stranger shows up, then they have chanced upon your hearth secret and spawned of it. if the name does not show up and comes up as ??? then they have simply memorized your character

You should also check if you have an unwanted Heartfire on your claim, that happened to me, along with the person in my kinlist

Like I said in the op this character has never had a hearth secret. That is what has got me so puzzled.

And what, if a "no Hs" is a word? I mean...i could put nothin in the hs list of the character creation and it could be a word? A blank spacebar?

flame has a good point there i will test it now, and edit the results into this post

EDIT: i used the hearth secret <blank space> and i got a staircase leading me to a group of h.f's with one called armand niac. is this you??
also you can, i belive have the hearth secret of completly nothing as i interacted with the sherlock character and without typing to him pressed enter, though it told me no such h.s existed.
sorry if this didnt help, but my main motivation was just curiosity

This character has never had a hearth secret. And the stranger on my list is called "child molester IV"

Checked my kin list after reading this thread, and... the same strange thing.
I have never set heart secret on this character, and I remember seeing it empty a few days ago, but today I discovered that some random sequence of characters is set as my heart secret, and there is some stranger called "loltar" in my kin list...
No unwanted heartfires nearby, no evidence of my account being hacked (could be one of the possible reasons), so seems like some server bug for me...
