Game is running slowly

Postby holypeanuts » Fri Apr 01, 2011 2:10 am

Alright so, yesterday I did a system restore, and now the game is so choppy that it's basically unplayable. Before I did the restore I was playing without any problems at all, so I find this quite odd.

Any ideas?

Uhm.. to what date did you do the sys restore?
You might want to check your drivers.

It was a full system restore. I have done all the windows updates(Vista) and stuff too. I have also reinstalled java a couple times, still nothing.

Additionally if it helps at all, when I get to the login screen for whatever reason the little character profile picture type things dont have their usual brown background, instead they are plain white.

i'd like to add, if this happens to anyone else, that its a video card issue for sure.
also: i had to change from 16bit color to 32bit color manually to finish the fix, dunno why
loftar: New hair styles? Really? Seeing how Jorb never gets off his lazy ass to draw some, I almost want to add them to the game proper.
