Giga lag - Only this site

Before you post, this is about going on the SITE, not the random lags in th GAME.

Recently whenever I go onto this site my computer is super slow when, or if even loading it and it is only this site. I can go to any other site that would normally and obviously be more laggy than this one but it is just this one. It took me forever but I just got this to work, could it be because I just updated my java or something? It is the only thing I could think of that has changed.

Now I can't even play the game. It says could not connect to server no matter how many times I try.

Is the server down or something?

Edit - just looked on first page, whoops... but that still doesn't explain the lag for the site.

K, but will the things in the game still progress, like I have crops growing and silkmoths to feed, or are they like frozen in time?
