Pearls - Has anyone found one lately?

Since I have been collecting mussels and boiling them, at first I was finding 3-4 a day, with my best day finding 7 pearls. As of two days ago, I have boiled somewhere in the range of 400 mussels without finding a single pearl. Is anyone else having similar trouble, or should I avoid my russian roulette addiction for a few weeks?

Edit: The game knows I only need 1 more pearl. Its a conspiracy.

Pearls have always been random like that. They've always been a bitch unless you buy them from others.

Also, I've heard of much, much worse dry streaks... It's not a bug, it's just your luck.

I'm well aware of what 1% means. I was asking an anecdotal yes or no question. (which neither of you answered.)

I am asking anyone who has been boiling mussels lately(neither of you), if they have been having any luck.

Seven pearls in one day is incredibly good luck. Don't get used to it.

As a person who was able to make two pearl necklaces already, I can say I have similar trouble in a last few days. Maybe it's a really bad luck though.

I've actually noticed a lot of people have pearl necklaces already. I was under the impression, from personal experience mostly, that this was actually something that took quite some time to accomplish.

I think when they made pearls also curiosities perhaps their rarity was mistakenly affected as well, making them much more common than they should be.

Now it might be fixed.

I had the same problem last world, finding them easily until i had 14 then nothing.

This world I had one day in which I found nine... since the big crash, not a single one, and I was getting one at least a day. Mind you, that was with a whole lot of mussels, but over the last week I have boiled about a thousand, and not one....
Whether whatever my settings were made it more likely to find one, and I've somehow messed that up I dont know.

To have this happen twice, in two different worlds, is more than suspicious.
