boar taming

I'm assuming this is a bug so I'll go right ahead

I just was taming a boar and was already at 80 tameness and waiting for the last attack, however instead of attacking me it simply despawned

on a sidenote the boar didn't follow me after any of the quellings (but I assume thats left out for hearthling safety)

I've seen animals despawn when they shouldn't. I assume it's a fairly well known bug by now. But yeah, it can suck.

you sure it wasn't just behind a tree or something?

I was taming some boars and they were actually wandering randomly to the point that I had to have a friend walk in their aggro range and lure them back to shore. I penned them because it was getting so annoying. I didn't realize it was odd until this moment because "tamed" auroch follow you.

I'm sure it didn't walk away or hide, it didn't have much valid walking options anyway and nothing to hide behind at all
