is it possible? not anyspeed hack, but for example speed4 at shallow water or in forest.
is switching speed is limited in server or in client?
i just suspecting...

Possible? Maybe.
Has anyone reported it happening? No.
Should you care about hacks in an alpha? Not unless you're reporting them.

why don't you try it and see? why even bother posting a thread that's pure speculation? anyway based on how most things in the client work i'm sure it's limited by server.

Indeed - all the client sends to the server when you press Ctrl+R is a key press event - and if you click on any of the movement speed icons, a "set" message is sent (whether it is gray or not).
Not much room for mischief.
