Nice "Feature": Mine in river

Postby 57thDamned » Thu Sep 10, 2009 2:12 am

My dear fellow "Schultzlator" just died fiew moments ago, when he found our copper-mine.....

...in a river. There was no building site shield, when he spotted the mine, so the geologic point must be in the river. The char run automaticly into the water and stopped in the middle of the river.

Devs, this should be an occasion to restore his char and to fix this asap.

Regards, 57th

That is.. perhaps.. the most awesome thing ever.
Rivers.. not only do they lure people with there calm stares and blue spekles.. but they use things like rustroots on the opposite side as traps and even trick miners into running into them with optical illusions.

Rivers. The true Death God of haven and hearth.

Are you sure that the mine isn't just on the other side of the river?

Sorry for your death.

We were 3 man, standing right there (Schutzlator on the other side). No one of us saw a building site shield (as it happend when we found our first mine).

Around the river were four 97% spots, so we joked before this scan, that the mine is in the river and guess what....

I can confirm that the mine is in the water. The extract lead him into the water and since you cant do anything but wait when the character is beeing moved until he reaches the building site, it wasn't him who stopped his character 1 tile away from safe land.

Maybe we are wrong, but i guess it's easy to verify it.

There's a small language problem here... are you saying that when you've found a geologic point and want to build a mine on it, placing the mine causes the character to walk right up to the spot automatically- even if it's in a river?

That's awful. Sorry about your char.
Surprise.

Exactly that.

Just on thing about placing mines:
You must not place the mine. When you've encircled the geologic point and you are at the "100%-area", your charakter runs automaticly to mine building site, when you scan for the mine.

Wow, that's even more harsh than the tree bug.

Thanks to Schultzlator for testing and reporting this bug. You have saved the lives of many a hearthling, we all owe you a debt of gratitude.
