Massive lag spikes with new AMD drivers

Postby Tietovallu » Tue May 17, 2011 5:13 pm

I just recently updated to my video card's new drivers (v11.5), and I get massive lag spikes every 1-2 seconds. Happens to a very lesser extent upstairs (maybe every 10 seconds or so), but every 1-2 seconds downstairs and outside. Happens both with Ender's and vanilla client, but less with the vanilla one.

Probably has something to do with the driver update, so should I try to downgrade (if possible) my driver version, or wait for a fix?

PS. AMD video card owners do not update your drivers.

I've had issues with AMD drivers since around 10.1, 10.2. I started using OmegaDriver then. www.omegadrivers.net

11.5a Hotfix - but seems only Win7 related fixes

You also could try to set your AA to " use application settings" ...

Strange, setting antialiasing to application settings seemed to work. I'll download the hotfix and see if Haven is playable without it. Not that I couldn't play with it, can't really see a difference.
