Glitchy/Laggy In General

I have latest java. Latest ATI driver.
Get lag when I type and move around, 1 second freeze and continues, then it will freeze again.

Doubt it is my hardware but...
Cpu - Intel Q6600 2.4ghz oc'd to 3ghz
Ram - Corsair 8gb
Psu - Corsair 850w
Mobo - Asus P5Q3

Checked temps all fine, checked resources all fine.
Just reinstalled Java even though they are latest, with CCleaner, we'll see what happens now.

Any other ideas on what could be causing the random lag spikes? I have a crappy connection but it's not just moving it's when I type and open menu's. It freezes for a couple seconds and seems really really jumpy.

could be that your video card can do 3d stuff really well but it's 2d components arent good enough for HnH >_>

edit: just remembered that sometimes the "latest drivers" are actually total shit.
try reinstalling drivers from the website of the guys that manufactured your comp

Also might want to try out a client that isn't the default one if you already haven't.
If you have many things open while HnH is open it'll probably lag seeing as how java is pretty shitty when it comes to cpu load. (especially with a game like this)
