Thats right! Cliff-Jumping rabbits! I was chasing a bunny, and had cornered it with a cliff. So I thought I had it. The bunny then jumped off of the cliff and ran off. While this may not be a serious bug, it is an annoyance. I believe I've also seen rabbits get "up" a cliff in the same fashion. The two possible solutions I see are to prevent the rabbits from doing this in the first place, or to implement cliff-jumping for players (only one way of course). For the second option, the player could take a hit in stamina or some similar additional consequence.
The bounding box for a rabbit is a lot smaller than most other creatures, this let's them squeeze between the boundaries of palisades, ridges, and a bunch of other objects.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.
Archers can just shoot them. If you're melee though, I would suggest grabbing them, going to a cabin, letting them out and killing them there. There's always a few cabins around now...

or you could just wring their neck while they're in your inventory...
If you walk right up next to a rabbit, and I mean as close as possible, you can punch them to death with one hit before they even get a chance to move.
Let us cut up tree trunks into wooden poles. You could equip one and use it to pole vault up and down ridges, or use them as building material in tents.
