remodel weapon balance

i think the damage system for the weapons is not very smart as of now. as is understand it (please correct me if i am wrong) is the damage calculated by: weapon base damage + 1/3 strength.

the problem with that system is, that there is no real difference between the weapons, once you are a little more experienced because the base damage becomes insignificant.

my idea: change the strength-multiplier for the different weapons e.g.

stone axe: base dmg + 20%str
militia sword: base dmg + 25%str
soldier sword: base dmg + 30%str
12th bay axe: base dmg + 40%str

whats your opinion on that balance issue?

as far as I know, sword use 1/3 strength and axes 1/2 strength.

To be more precise, the individual attacks determine the damage outside the weapon's base damage. The Punch and Sting attacks do STR/3, while the Chop attack does STR/2. Cleave, on the other hand, does STR*2, and Knock His Teeth Out does STR*1.
