can log in but not play

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time..

can log in but not play

Have been unable to play for the past month. When I hit the "play" button there are a few seconds of a Java6 window, a 1k "autohaven.jnlp" is downloaded, then a window telling me "unable to launch the application". Clicking "details" gets me "error: cache must be enabled for nativelib or installer-desc support". Using Firefox in Vista 32, cache is enabled (500meg).

I was playing the game earlier this year with that cache size. Quit for a while as it seemed I was just wandering around aimlessly in the game with no idea what the heck i should be doing. Returned last month and get that message whenever I try to play.

then try to delete haven cache.
The flder ".haven" should be in your user profile folder.
Not sure how Vista works with that so you'll have to find that on your own.

It's normally hidden. In folder options you need to switch it to show all hidden folders.

One of the first things I do on a computer.

There are no directories or files containing "haven".

According to control panel, I have java platform 1.6 installed. Product 1.6.0_01 in C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\javaw.exe; product 1.6.0_22 in C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe

I frequent many websites requiring java and have no problems, so I assume we have a local problem.
