Roasted Meat and gathering QLs

While the halving bug is fixed, I'm wondering these are intended or bugs as well.

If I'm not mistaken, survival skill will increase the QL of materials gained from a creature, modified by its level? If so, theoretically cows, sheep, and possibly rabbits should have their materials increase in QL with survival as well. Presently they don't. Intended, or bug? Seems like they should be scaling with the rest of the creatures... even though their hides would still be not much better than a low level critter, this will keep their meats scaling properly along the lines of deer, boars, and bears. (if a bit slower due to these creatures innate low levels)

This one seems like it might be intended, but I'd thought I'd mention it anyway. Cooked meats won't increase over the QL of the raw meat. They will decrease fine based on the QL of the fire and cooking skill used, but if your cooking skill is over it, they will not increase.

Skills and stats can never raise quality, only lower.

I could've sworn there were cases where that isn't true, but I suppose that does make sense for gathering and cooking.

That's kind of lame, though. You would think that a skilled craftsman should be able to improve upon the materials he has to make a better craft. Especially a cook. I'm guessing this is what Psyche might be for down the road...

Although this also leaves me all new questions with mines... I'm guessing ore has an infinite QL or something and scales with whatever you mine it out with, or otherwise varies naturally. Otherwise that means there's no way to improve the metal whatsoever besides cooking it in high QL wood in a high QL smelter. If I actually could find a mine, I'd be able to know this.

I thought ore quality depended on the mine itself. I suppose I was wrong <.<

I believe it was posted that only Gold and Silver will have infinite quality.
Currently all ores I've seen have been q100, the quality of the bars/stones from smelting depending on the quality of the smelter and the quality of the coal used.
